Original Report

The respondent is a 25-year-old man from Afghanistan that was traveling with other 19 people on the move.

He said that they started from Horgos to cross the border into Hungary. They were a group of 20 people from Afghanistan. After crossing they saw that the police were coming so they split the group in two. One group got caught by 6 policemen in 2 police cars.

They were wearing a dark blue uniform. Four policemen were from Hungary and two policemen spoke german with each other.

It was 2 AM in the night, near the 55 highway and snowing. They stopped them and made them lie down in the snow for 1.5 hours until the bus came to pick them up. The respondent reported that the police officers said, “Shut Up and Lay Down”. They were not allowed to talk to each other or stand up.

Afterward, they brought them back to Serbia and they came back to Horgos. The respondent said it’s like a punishment from the police and that he heard that this has been done to different people already.
