On Monday 14th of November, the respondent, a 19-year-old man from Afghanistan, was apprehended in the Port of Patras while attempting to sneak onto the ferry to Italy.
The police officers searched him and took his belongings (cell phone and 150€). Subsequently, they took him to the police station, where he stayed that day and night. The day after, in the afternoon, he was released, but the police officers only gave him back his phone and 50€. When he asked about the rest of his money (100€), they told him that it was to pay for the food that he had received. After that, the boy left the police station.
