The respondent is a 19 to 30-year-old Afghan man.
He recounts an incident that took place on July 10th, 2020, at around 2:30 pm, where he was mistreated by a private security guard at the port of Patras.
The security guard was described as an older man (over 50), wearing camouflage-green pants. The Afghan man was found hiding inside an open-truck trailer, and the private security guard asked to see his papers before taking him to the detention centre within the port. He was detained there for three days and given only a half-litre bottle of water and one sandwich per day. When he asked for more water, the guard told him to drink from the toilet in his cell.
